Dear Robert Crown Families,
On behalf of the PTO, I want to thank you for a great 2017- 2018 school year. Together we raised nearly $40,000 that went directly toward supporting our children’s education and school resources.
With the money raised, we were able to provide transportation for two field trips for each grade level, approximately 500 new books for the library, an online resource program for the library that is used by all students, outdoor recess games, the Young Authors program, and all assemblies for this year (Red Ribbon Week, the PBIS Assembly, the Young Authors Assembly and Victor Pancini). We were able to provide financial support to the 5th grade celebration party, provide new equipment for the PE department and provide all the popcorn for the PBIS popcorn day. In addition, each student received a free book during their birthday month. With everyone’s combined efforts, we are going to be able to update the cafeteria into a multi purpose room this summer to accommodate our growing community. In addition, we will provide various classroom materials with any money remaining.
Again, we thank you for all your support and effort in helping us reach these goals!
As we conclude this year and wrap up elections, I would like to announce that Cara Mohr will be filling the role as President and Susana Sancen will be filling the role of Secretary for the 2018-2019 school year. The role of Vice President will be shared between Mindy Kosiek and Marie Meyer. Jen Jandula will remain on the board in the Treasurer role. Please join me in welcoming them to the PTO Board.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jessica Schachelmayer for all her work on the PTO board, she did an amazing job and will be missed.
I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as PTO President. I truly care for Robert Crown, the students and all of staff and families so much. Getting to know each of you has been my favorite part and I have been so fortunate to be able to have this role.
I wish everyone a safe and happy summer and look forward to the 2018-2019 school year.
Much love and appreciation,
Katie Kittelson
RCS PTO President
